ABSTRACT SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

1.Authorship regulations

  • Each submission may have one presenting author and up to three co-authors (maximum four authors).
  • Any one of the listed authors may serve as the presenting author.
  • Each member may submit a maximum of two abstracts as presenting author across all categories.
  • All authors must have made a genuine academic contribution to the work.

2.Membership requirements

  • The presenting author and co-authors should be BOS members (ratified or non-ratified).
  • Non-members should complete BOS membership registration before the submission deadline. For Membership ps visit bangaloreophthalmicsociety.com
  • To be eligible for awards, the presenting author must be a BOS member.

3.Categories invited

  1. Free Paper | Original clinical or laboratory research, audits, comparative studies, innovations, public-health ophthalmology. |
  2. E-Poster | Small studies, case series, educational projects, imaging pearls, technique notes |
  3. Case Presentation | Rare cases, diagnostic dilemmas, unusual imaging, challenging management, complications and lessons learnt.

1.Free Paper — max 1000 words
Use a structured abstract. Do not include tables, figures, photographs, or references in the abstract body.

  1. Free Paper : 5 min presentation + 2 min discussion
  2. E-Poster : 3 min your take .
  3. Case Presentation : 54min presentation + 2 min discussion

8.Awards

* Best Free Paper — Winner, First Runner-Up, Second Runner-Up
* Best E-Poster — Winner, Runner-Up
* Best Case Presentation — Winner, Runner-Up
* Certificates will be issued to presenting authors and co-authors.

9.Author declaration

* The work is original.
* Ethics approval obtained where applicable.
* Patient consent obtained where necessary.
* No plagiarism.
* Conflicts of interest disclosed.
